Fringe Ice Cream

It was bound to happen. Why it took so long is some mystery, but thanks to Dee Custance and the Lemon Custard Comedy Club, I’ve finally cranked out a batch of ice cream at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Dee is hosting a weekly free comedy show at the White Horse on the Royal Mile and she asked me to make ice cream for the audience.

I loaded up on the requisite cream and things and cycled through the tourists on the Royal Mile ready to churn up a 6-quart batch of vanilla.

Mark arrived on the scene just in time to help me crank it to the end.

Dee kept the packed house laughing as we served up the ice cream…

We’ll be back for the next two Tuesdays, so be sure to come down to the White Horse for free comedy and ice cream!

Man, you’re getting accustomed to the 6-quarts machine, you will never come back to the 2-quarts. And that’s not good, because if we go for another ice cream holiday, we’ll never finish this one just the three of us… Oh, after all, why not?….
THe picture of Marc is really good.

Don’t worry. I cranked up two wee batches on Saturday. One was a deliciously refreshing Raspberry Sorbet (though I used muslin instead of pantyhose) and the other a superbly rich Strawberry Ice Cream.
    Yum!
I’m looking forward to your latest flavours…
